Job description

Welcomes researchers from UNM and across theworld at the Access Desk for the Center for Southwest Research & SpecialCollections in Zimmerman Library. Works closely with CSWR staff to retrieve andshelve CSWR materials for researcher use. Answers routine and directionalquestions, in person and by phone.

Performs clerical and customer servicefunctions. Conducts searches for missing items. Processes duplication projectsand requests by a variety of means including scanning and digitizing.

Performsa variety of digitization projects as directed by archivists. Assists archivistswith basic processing of CSWR archival materials; may work on preservation andconservation. Follows archival policies and practices in the handling of unique,fragile and rare materials.

May assist with basic research/reference inquiries.May assist with training and supervising of new student employees. Specialprojects as assigned.
