Position Summary
Job Summary:
This is a part-time position for a reliable student providing customer service at the Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center (HSLIC) public service desk. Shifts include daytime (8am-5pm) Monday-Friday hours and Saturday (12pm-5pm).
Job Duties:
• Assisting students, faculty, staff and members of the public with resource access, reference, and general and directional questions in person, over the phone, and on live chat
• Checking library materials in/out
• Assisting with opening and closing the library
• Helping users with printing and computers
• Shelving returned items and shelf-reading the collection
• Assisting users with 3D printing, virtual reality, and the Anatomage anatomy table
• Participating in projects and other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be registered for at least six (6) credit hours.
• Must be in a degree granting college.

1. Work study award
2. Reliable; committed to being on time and fulfilling scheduled shifts and tasks. Well- developed time management skills
3. Working knowledge of technology, including troubleshooting of computers, printers, and scanners
4. Able to work the specific days and times needing to be staffed (able to fill gaps in desk coverage)
5. Customer service experience
6. Familiarity with a library and experience working in a library
7. Ability to perform on a team, communicate and support work colleagues
