As a Landscaping & Lawn Crew Member, you will help maintain the beauty, safety, and appearance of condominium and homeowners associations throughout Southeast Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced landscape professionals and individuals looking to begin a rewarding career in the landscaping industry.

Position Summary

The Landscaping & Lawn Crew Member performs a variety of landscape maintenance and improvement services at multiple community association properties. Team members work together to provide exceptional service while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform lawn mowing, edging, trimming, and weed control.
  • Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and other landscape materials.
  • Install mulch, sod, and other landscape enhancements.
  • Trim and prune shrubs, hedges, and small trees.
  • Assist with seasonal landscaping projects and property cleanups.
  • Safely operate lawn mowers, string trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and other landscaping equipment.
  • Load, unload, and transport equipment and materials as needed.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Follow company safety policies and proper equipment operating procedures.
  • Work efficiently with crew members to complete scheduled assignments.
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, community managers, residents, and customers when appropriate.
  • Perform additional landscaping and general labor duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work extended shifts, including occasional 10+ hour days during peak season.
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to follow directions, pay close attention to detail, and work independently when needed.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of lawn and landscape maintenance experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with landscape enhancements, hardscape installation, irrigation, or pesticide applications is a plus.
  • Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment is preferred.
