Job description

Salary: $17 - $20/hour

Are you a creative individual with a knack for capturing unforgettable moments? Join our team and make a meaningful impact as a school and sports portrait photographer!


What You'll Do:

  • Capture Moments: Take school portraits, and sports team and individual portraits throughout the school year.
  • Create Memories: Help families and individuals preserve joyful memories with your photography skills.
  • Earn Competitive Pay: Start with compensation at $17-20/hour, with opportunities for increases based on your skills and proficiency.

A Day in the Life:

  • Travel: Drive to various photography assignments across the DeKalb,IL region, with paid travel time and mileage reimbursement.
  • Client Interaction: Be the friendly face of VIP, ensuring every photo session is enjoyable and memorable for clients.
  • Skill Development: Collaborate with lead photographers to advance your skills, with potential for leadership roles. Take advantage of opportunities for ongoing learning and improvement.


Work Schedule:

  • Seasonal: Enjoy seasonal work throughout the year, with opportunities for overtime (40+ hours per week) in August and September.
  • Weekend Availability: Expect to work approximately 12+ Saturdays per year, with occasional Sundays as well.
  • Seasonal Availability: Portrait photography training begins in late July. Photograph from the beginning of August through mid-December. Overtime hours available in August and September.


Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active drivers license
  • Reliable vehicle and active car insurance
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring work sponsorship or visa
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for majority of shift
