The Promontory Club is looking to fulfill vacancies for Golf Course Maintenance/Landscaping Staff – Full time Summer Seasonal.

The summer season will range from May through the end of October.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use walking and riding greens mowers, tee mowers, rough mowers, rollers, carts, push mowers and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools to maintain the golf course and club house grounds.
  • Hand rake and maintain bunkers.
  • Repair ball marks on greens and fill in divots on tees and fairways.
  • Operation of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work closely with other golf course maintenance crew members to complete job assignments.
  • Perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance, club grounds and construction.  Raking, mowing, trimming bushes, mulching, irrigation, digging holes and clearing debris.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work practices to management; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Other duties as assigned by Golf Course Superintendent.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required; must be at least 18 years of age.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Previous experience working on a golf course or in landscaping is preferred but not required.

WORKING KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED ON JOB: Abide by Promontory policies and procedures and submit ideas for possible revision; work independently with little supervision; courteous and helpful with Promontory Club Members and employees; practice proper and timely communication among the entire golf department personnel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time; ability to spend time in an outdoor environment in the sun, rain and other conditions; ability to lift 50lbs regularly and the ability to lift up to 75lbs occasionally; must be willing to work various hours, nights, holidays and weekends when needed.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Wages start at $20 per hour and will be determined upon employment and will be commensurate with experience.
