Canoe Brook Country Club is seeking an experienced, energetic, organized, and service-driven Member Event Manager to create exceptional experiences for our members and guests while leading a dynamic calendar of social, recreational, and sporting events that foster engagement, strengthen community, and enhance overall member satisfaction.


Responsibilities include:

  • Plans, promotes, and generates enthusiasm and interest for the club’s diverse sporting and social programs; coordinates the efforts of volunteers and the club’s staff.


  • Develops and maintains year-round calendar of events, raises brand awareness, and drives organic engagement with members and guests


  • Creates an annual entertainment budget with accurate and up-to-date tracking on all event expenses
  • Maintains visibility in the community with retailers, artists, entertainers, etc.; uses these resources for the benefit of the club’s membership.
  • Analyze member feedback and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with committees, club departments, and community partners.
  • Supervise event staff and support member engagement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in event planning, hospitality, private club operations, member services, or related field.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Creative, professional, and detail-oriented.

Preferred Operational Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of BEO execution and interdepartmental communication
  • Ability to proactively resolve operational challenges in a high-expectation club environment
  • Familiarity with CMAA best practices, standards of service, and private-club governance
