Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team. The Environmental Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental programs and projects that ensure regulatory compliance, promote sustainability, and protect natural resources. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage environmental engineering projects related to water, air quality, waste management, and site remediation.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and prepare technical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
  • Develop environmental management plans, sustainability initiatives, and pollution prevention strategies.
  • Perform environmental monitoring, sampling, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Evaluate operational processes and recommend improvements to reduce environmental risks and enhance sustainability.
  • Support environmental audits, inspections, and corrective action programs.
  • Prepare permit applications and maintain environmental compliance documentation.
  • Stay informed of regulatory changes and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of environmental engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Experience with environmental permitting, compliance reporting, and remediation projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and environmental data analysis software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience working with government agencies, municipalities, industrial facilities, or consulting firms.
