SUMMARY OF POSITION:

KMC is seeking a Machine Operator to Set Up and Operate a Q Machine. This position is located in the Walkers Point area of Milwaukee. This position is also required to safely operate an overhead crane to load/unload raw materials and dies within the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setup Slide equipment to KMC standards to ensure jobs can be run safely and at-rate
  • Evaluate active production runs to ensure run at-rate
  • Responsible for troubleshooting of production and setup runs, and make modifications within specified limits
  • Will provide direction to Slide Operators during production runs, as necessary as well as train Slide Operators
  • Accurately record labor, inventory, update tool maintenance requests, and job data in ERP system
  • Provide continuous improvement suggestions for jobs running through the Slide Department
  • Assist Tool & Die personnel in troubleshooting, adjusting tools, and or change over tooling
  • Will operate a crane to load and unload raw material
