Job Description:
Burghardt Sporting Goods specializes in custom team uniforms, spirit wear, and corporate apparel. We are searching for a highly skilled and reliable embroidery machine operator to join our company. The embroidery machine operator’s responsibilities include setting up embroidery machines, selecting pertinent tools and materials, supervising embroidery process, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring that all projects are completed to clients' specifications. You will also be expected to carry out regular maintenance duties and provide creative advice. We are a small, continually evolving business, it is important that every member of our team has the passion to take initiative on many levels and continue to push our company in a positive, profitable direction.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm

Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing and understanding project specifications and clients’ needs before starting each embroidery project
  • Review embroidery orders to determine settings and adjustments required to set up machines and decorating equipment
  • Selecting the thread, apparel, hoops, and designs appropriate to each project.
  • Adjust position of design or hoop to ensure specified accurate result
  • Setting up machines and supervising the embroidery process
  • Keeping track of work orders and updating records, this includes counting and recording quantities embroidered in production log
  • Performing regular machine maintenance, inspections, and reporting any issues necessary
  • Manage thread and backing inventory
  • Assist in other production areas as needed

Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Willing to learn and work in various areas of our production facility
  • Excellent time management and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Highest standard of accuracy and attention to detail

Experience and Education:
  • Experience with Tajima embroidery machines preferred but not required
