The Machine Operator I is the entry level manufacturing position. The Machine Operator I is responsible for manufacturing products safely and efficiently to support the achievement of company objectives.

Reporting Relationships

The Machine Operator I reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow all process documents, such as work instructions, procedures, inspection criteria. Report results in appropriate Quality Management System (QMS) and communicate non-conformances to leadership.
  • Manufacture products in alignment with defined output standards as measured by daily operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrate flexibility of schedule when pursuing training opportunities to achieve personal and company objectives.
  • Understands and adheres to all safety requirements. Communicates identified risks to leadership and assists in resolution.
  • Completes all 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Contributes to culture through alignment with company values and code of conduct.  Maintains a positive attitude, displays enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicates effectively and professionally with team members.
  • Other related duties.
 

Education

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Trade or technical school experience is preferred.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand process documents.
  • Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds on a regular and routine basis.
  • Frequent bending and twisting required.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as defined by process.
