Job description

THE ROLE 

Embroidery Machine Operator

Quince is hiring Embroidery Machine Operators for our production facility in Santa Fe Springs. This is a shop floor role. You will be assigned to a primary decoration method, trained on it, responsible for hitting output and quality targets consistently.

Our decoration methods include embroidery, debossing, heat transfer, screen printing, luggage printing, and seamstress / sewing work, among others. You will be placed based on your background and our production needs.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain your assigned decoration equipment - embroidery, debossing, heat transfer, screen printing, luggage printing, seamstress / sewing, and others
  • Run daily production against output and quality targets
  • Inspect finished pieces against job specs before they move downstream - placement, registration, color, stitch count, and construction
  • Identify and resolve defects immediately; escalate to your Lead when needed
  • Execute job changeovers using setup sheets and decoration specs
  • Perform pre-shift machine readiness checks and daily cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance
  • Handle first-level troubleshooting on your equipment
  • Log output counts, defects, and downtime in the production system in real time
  • Communicate material shortages, equipment issues, or quality problems to your Lead as they happen
  • Support finishing work including trimming, folding, tagging, bagging, and packing as needed

Qualifications


Required: 

  • Experience in garment decoration, embroidery, apparel construction, or a related production environment strongly preferred - we will also train candidates coming from other production or manufacturing backgrounds with transferable skills
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for quality - placement, registration, color, construction
  • Ability to follow SOPs consistently and flag issues without being asked
  • Reliable and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when needed
  • Bilingual English / Spanish a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Standing and walking throughout the entirety of your shift
  • Ability to go up and down stairs, use of ladders throughout the day as needed
  • Bending, twisting, or kneeling may be required throughout the day for lifting or maneuvering objects
  • May be asked to work outside or travel to shoots off-site as needed
  • Work in a production environment with machinery noise and variable temperature

Pay Range: $24 - 26/hour with overtime opportunities available
