Job description

Summary The Machine Operator 1 for Bud's Goods & Services must be able to operate and oversee specialized automated packaging equipment and to keep the equipment clean and running efficiently at all times. This role's success relies heavily on the successful operation of the facility's automated packaging equipment, therefore an understanding of mechanical and controls systems is required.

The Machine Operator's goal is for total client satisfaction and works hard to always adhere to Bud's Goods' high standards for quality and service to our clients and the terms of our client agreements. Technicians advancing at Buds may promote to a level 1 operator by demonstrating competency as a machine operator, label creator or both.

Key Responsibilities Label Maker

  1. Navigate Metric for data extraction and cross reference verification
  2. Navigate SharePoint to retrieve and reference key documents (e.g. COA, cultivator reference guide, work order guides, bulk tracker etc.)
  3. Interface with Account Manager on timing of client labels; take point in label generation where required

Key Responsibilities Machine Operator

  1. Using systems and processes that maintain compliance and minimize errors (Labor Sheets, Labor Verification, Weight Verification)
  2. Resolve commonly occurring issues
  3. Set up machine and perform changeovers
  4. Gatekeeper: Validates Product through every change of metric tag. Product matches labor sheets and recipient bins so as to not mix products.
  5. Gatekeeper: Completes quality verification at key points during production runs

    1. 30 days of continuous run time on a machine
    2. Basic understanding of material inputs impact on machine performance

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  1. Able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  2. Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  3. Able to work a fully flexible schedule including nights and weekends if necessary
  4. Extensive use of hands, including use of tools

Additional Requirements:

  1. Must pass all required background checks
  2. Must have a reliable transportation
  3. Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  4. Must possess valid driver's license
  5. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
