Position Overview
The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing field execution of electrical construction activities on power generation, industrial, mission-critical and/or other electrical construction projects. This position provides leadership to general foremen, foremen, craft personnel, subcontractors, and field engineers to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
Location

This will be a 100% travel based position on a turnaround schedule. Candidates will not be required to relocate, but will be expected to travel extensively. Travel-based candidates will receive travel packages (per diem, etc.).

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all electrical construction activities.
  • Direct and support general foremen, foremen, electricians, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor productivity, workforce utilization, and equipment needs.
  • Ensure work is installed according to drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate electrical work with other disciplines including civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and commissioning teams.
  • Monitor labor productivity and project costs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce rework.
  • Participate in quantity tracking, forecasting, and progress reporting.
  • Maintain accountability for labor budgets and production goals.
  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-range work plans.
  • Assist with manpower forecasting, resource planning, and project sequencing.
  • Participate in look-ahead planning, schedule reviews, and progress tracking.
  • Identify and mitigate schedule risks while maintaining project milestones.
Qualifications
4+ years of electrical construction experience in power, industrial, manufacturing, energy, or EPC environments.
2+ years of supervisory experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, Assistant Superintendent, or Superintendent.
Hands-on electrical installation experience
Strong knowledge of:
  • NEC
  • NFPA 70E
  • OSHA regulations
  • IEEE standards
Ability to read and interpret:
  • Electrical drawings
  • One-line diagrams
  • Specifications
  • Construction schedules
Strong leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
