The Colorado Springs Gazette is seeking an experienced News Editor to help lead our award-winning newsroom. This role is ideal for a strong editor who thrives in a fast-paced news environment, values accuracy and fairness, and enjoys mentoring journalists while shaping meaningful reporting. As News Editor, you'll oversee editing and production workflows, collaborate with reporters and editors across our publications, and play a key role in ensuring our coverage serves the communities that rely on us.
Important Schedule Information:This position supports a newsroom that operates beyond traditional business hours. This schedule includes nights, weekends, and breaking news coverage. Candidates must be comfortable working our hybrid schedule which includes working in our newsroom in downtown Colorado Springs.
Salary Range: $68,000 - $78,000 annually
