SharePoint Migration and Power Platform Specialist

Onsite role in Sacramento, CA (Local)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SharePoint Migration and Power Platform Specialist to support our transition from an on-premises SharePoint 2019 environment to SharePoint Online. While migrating existing content is important, the primary focus will be on redesigning and rebuilding a catalog of custom-built team sites using SharePoint Online and the Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate).

Responsibilities

Custom Team Site Rebuilding and Development

  • Rebuild and enhance complex custom-built team sites within SharePoint Online using modern SharePoint features.
  • Design and implement dynamic interfaces and business process solutions using SharePoint and Power Apps.
  • Develop workflow automations and system integrations with Power Automate.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to ensure scalable, effective solutions.
  • Ensure solutions align with best practices in performance, security, and maintainability.

Migration Planning and Execution

  • Assess the current on-prem SharePoint environment (team sites, custom applications, publishing sites, etc.).
  • Develop detailed migration plans including timelines, resources, and risk mitigation.
  • Migrate content and custom applications to SharePoint Online using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues.

Testing and Validation

  • Perform functional and data validation testing in the migrated environment.
  • Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.

User Training and Support

  • Provide training and support for end users in SharePoint Online.
  • Develop user-friendly documentation and reference guides.
  • Respond to and resolve user inquiries post-migration.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 5+ years of SharePoint administration and migration experience.
  • Strong background in designing and deploying custom solutions using SharePoint Online, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint migration tools and Azure Entra ID.
  • Proven ability to migrate complex environments and custom applications.

Skills:

  • Expert-level Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) proficiency.
