Position: Construction Superintendent IV Location: Atlanta, GA Job Id: 1114 # of Openings: 1
TITLE: CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT IV
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA base Must be willing to travel up to approximately 50% of the time
POSITION SUMMMARY:
The Construction Superintendent provides on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The Construction Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
* Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
* Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
* Communicate with project team regarding ASI's, RFI's, and Material Submittals.
* Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
* Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
* Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
* Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
* Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
* Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
* Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
* Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
* Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work or scheduling.
* Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
* Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
Secondary Functions:
* Assist in budgeting, bidding, and award of subcontracts.
* Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
* Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the jobsite.
* Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.
* Opening the jobsite at the beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the day.
* Identify deficient work and provide resolution and Blueprint reading.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience (Desired):
* Minimum 7-10 years of verifiable experience with thorough knowledge of trades
* Experience in mission critical construction is preferred.
* Experience in all phases of construction to include but not limited to, civil earthwork, formwork, rebar, concrete, structural, drainage, etc.
* Must be a US CITIZEN
* Must be willing to travel up to approximately 50% of the time
* Must be willing and able to occasionally work evenings/weekends if necessary
* Management of MEP trades
Computer Skills:
* Procore and Bluebeam preferred.
* Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project & Outlook) preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
* No certificates or licenses required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Project Superintendent shall supervise all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors daily. This supervision shall ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and compliant work performed. This position shall be responsible for monitoring project security personnel.
