Minimum experience: 2 years; 1st timers are accepted. Patient population: Adults to geriatrics. Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH. General diagnoses include ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-op complications, cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, ESRD on CRRT. Ratio/census: 1:2-3 (traveler should be prepared for the possibility of taking a 3rd patient); 24 rooms with an average daily census of 19. Unit systems: Pyxis, Epic, SBAR. Scrub color: Navy Blue. RTO: MAX 7 days. Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere. Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed. Call requirements: Not specified. Holidays: If one major holiday falls in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
