Familiarity with hand tools, cable testers, and safety equipment is common, and OSHA safety certifications are often preferred. Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and effective communication are important soft skills in this role. These skills and qualities are essential to ensure safe, efficient cable installation and effective collaboration on job sites.

What does a typical weekend shift look like for a Cable Puller, and how is the work structured?

As a Weekend Cable Puller, your shifts often start early and may last 8-10 hours, depending on project deadlines. You'll typically work as part of a small crew under the supervision of a lead technician, with tasks including running cables through walls, ceilings, or conduits, labeling cables, and assisting with equipment setup. The work environment can be physically demanding and may involve working in tight spaces or at heights.
