Job description

We are seeking a Low Voltage Cable Technician to become an integral part of our growing team! You will be cabling, installing and setting up data communication systems as well as troubleshooting those systems moving forward. This work will be all commercial and no residential, mainly for retail, food service, and banking customers. This position is temporary through October but has the option to become permanent depending on performance. 

Responsibilities:

  • Wiring and installing new construction and remodel structured cabling such as Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber, Coax, 18/2, etc.
  • Install network devices such as Access Points, PCs, POS devices, Printers, IP Phones, cameras, etc.
  • Install and validate shots for CCTV systems
  • Install music and paging systems
  • Investigate customer issues, troubleshoot, and resolve issues

​Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years prior experience in telecommunications, networking, or related fields
  • Familiarity with telecommunications and network equipment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to read blue prints
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • Must have reliable transportation and basic trade tools
