Job Title: Office Administrator - Sales Support
Location: Birmingham, AL (In-Office)
Schedule: Part-Time, M-F Mornings (approx. 7:30 AM start, few hours/day)
Pay: $20/hour

About the Role

McCorquodale Transfer is seeking a part-time Office Administrator to support our Sales Manager and sales team with day-to-day administrative and customer service tasks. This role is essential to keeping our office running smoothly and ensuring a great experience for our customers from the first phone call through move day. This job would most likely be seasonal, but with a possibility to transition to permanent.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally
  • Create and prepare customer quotes
  • Complete moving and logistics paperwork accurately
  • Enter and update customer information in company systems
  • Create and manage calendar invites and scheduling
  • Relay messages and information between customers, sales, and operations
  • Handle difficult customer situations and resolve complaints with professionalism
  • Visit the Birmingham warehouse (located in the same building as the Sales team) as needed to communicate with the Operations team
  • Support the Sales Manager with day-to-day administrative needs

Qualifications

  • Excellent phone presence, confident and comfortable answering calls
  • Clear, legible handwriting
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Polite, professional demeanor with customers and coworkers
  • Ability to handle customer complaints calmly and effectively
  • Comfortable communicating with warehouse/operations staff in person

Schedule & Location

This is a part-time, in-office position based in Birmingham, AL. Candidates should expect to work a few hours each morning (M-F), typically starting around 7:30 AM (time could vary).
