Job description

Coordinator of Assessment & Accreditation - Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine (MSOM)
*Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly, 100% onsite position located in Hagerstown, MD
The Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine (MSOM) is seeking a detail-driven and intellectually curious Coordinator of Assessment & Accreditation to support our Academic Affairs division. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in academic environments, enjoy working with data, and are motivated by the continuous improvement of educational quality.
As a key contributor to MSOM's assessment and accreditation efforts, you will collaborate with faculty, administrators, and external partners to ensure our programs meet the highest standards of excellence. Your work will directly support institutional effectiveness, program evaluation, and accreditation readiness.
What You'll Do
  • Support institutional and programmatic assessment by collecting, organizing, and analyzing academic data.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, including documentation aligned with COCA requirements.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards that inform decision-making and continuous quality improvement.
  • Collaborate with faculty and academic leadership to maintain the integrity of assessment processes.
  • Coordinate communication with external agencies as needed for accreditation activities.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Health Sciences, Public Health, Data Analytics, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Experience
  • Experience in academic assessment, institutional research, or accreditation coordination, ideally within medical or health sciences education.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Familiarity with LMS and assessment platforms such as Canvas, ExamSoft, or InteDashboard.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative mindset and comfort working with diverse academic stakeholders.
  • Understanding of COCA accreditation standards preferred.
