Our company is a fast growing Franchise organization based in Madison Heights, MI. We pride ourselves on a collaborative and supportive work environment where every team member is valued and has the opportunity to grow.

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This is a vital role that will support the accounting department with daily financial tasks and ensure our records are accurate and up-to-date. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks and a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine administrative accounting duties, including data entry and maintaining financial records for both Corporate and individual locations.
  • Process accounts payable, ensuring invoices and payments are accurate and timely.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
  • Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in generating financial reports and summaries as needed for management.
  • Help maintain organized and complete financial files.
  • Assist with other accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
  • QuickBooks Proficiency: Proven, hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online is required.
  • Education: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with proven experience.
