Goldman Properties is seeking a talented and professional Accounting Manager to join our corporate office. We are looking for an ambitious, forward-thinking professional who is eager to lead, learn, and contribute across all facets of accounting. 


The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all tasks associated with the accounting cycle. This role reports to the Accounting Director and provides leadership and guidance to the accounting team.

Compensation:


$70K-$75k | based on experience


 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 


Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's general ledger structure and financial reporting processes.

Ensure accurate and timely weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.

Manage cash flow, including monitoring and projecting cash requirements.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.

Advise staff on the proper handling of non-routine or complex accounting transactions.

Oversee accounts payable and general accounting functions.

Respond to inquiries from the Finance Director, ownership, and management regarding financial 

 results and special reporting requests.

Prepare management reports and perform variance and trend analysis.

Coordinate with external audit and tax firms on audit and tax-related matters.

Review and manage expense reporting, including cost analysis and control.

Train, mentor, and support new and existing accounting staff.

Proactively review accounting processes and internal controls, recommending and implementing improvements.

Assist in developing and executing accounting policies and procedures aligned with corporate goals.

Support operational accounting strategies through performance measurement, productivity analysis, 

 system enhancements, and process improvements.

Prepare financial projections through budgeting and forecasting, including data collection, analysis, and consolidation.

Assist in tax planning efforts by reviewing applicable regulations, supporting tax strategies, 

 and coordinating return preparation to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  Qualifications:


  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus, not required)

  3+ years of accounting experience, including some supervisory or team lead experience

  Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

  Comfortable using accounting software and Excel

  Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  Proficiency with accounting software, including Yardi and ExcelÂ
