Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level III trauma center requiring 1.5+ years of hospital experience and ARRT CT/R certification.

Details
  • Short-term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds, part of Yale New Haven Health System
  • Rotates across 5x8 hour Day and Night shifts (8:30 AM-5:15 PM / 11:00 PM-7:15 AM), varied based on department need
  • Requires working every weekend
  • Will float between Lawrence and Memorial Hospital (CT) and Westerly Hospital (RI)
  • Uses GE Optima CT660 scanners and GE/Siemens equipment
  • Charting completed in Epic
  • Work settings include Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, ICU, and Pediatric Outpatient
  • Performs CT imaging of abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and vascular studies including coronary CTA and CT arthrography
Requirements
  • Minimum 1.5 years of hospital CT experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications required
  • GE and Siemens equipment experience required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • CT licensure required for both Connecticut and Rhode Island; license required if applicable
  • Experience with 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurement preferred
  • Skills in contrast media preparation/administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture preferred
  • Level I and Level II trauma center experience preferred
  • Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
  • Performs a wide range of CT imaging procedures including biopsies, aspirations, drainages, and vascular/cardiac CTA studies
  • Free parking available on site
  • Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
  • COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only
  • Staff must be gone at least 2 years before returning as a traveler
  • Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
  • Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
  • One reference required for consideration
