Job description

About Us:

Blossoms Events is a full-service event design and production company based in Murrells Inlet, SC. We specialize in unforgettable weddings and private parties, designing everything from custom bars, seating and dance floors to floral installations, signage, and large-scale decorative structures. We’re a tight-knit team of creatives who love bringing big ideas to life–and having fun doing it.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a 3D Technical Set Designer with a creative spark and a collaborative spirit to join our in-office team. You’ll work closely with our design, floral, and production teams to create high-impact visuals and custom decor for events that wow our clients and their guests. Passion for weddings and event/set design are a must.

Qualifications:

  • Required: 2+ years experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc)
  • Required: 2+ years of experience with 3D rendering software (e.g., Autodesk 3ds Max, Cinema4D by Maxon).
  • Bonus: Drafting software experience (Vectorworks, Autocad, etc.)
  • Passion for weddings and event design - eager to stay on top of design and event trends to keep our work fresh and innovative!
  • Sharp eye for design and attention to detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment toggling between projects and priorities.
  • Boldness and creativity - you are willing to take direction from our design lead and clients, but won't hold back in sharing your thoughts and ideas on design direction.
  • Expertise in set design, architectural design, space planning and/or interior design (bonus points if you've worked in events specifically or in environments where integration of realistic textures into rendered spaces is required - e.g., flowers, fabrics, etc.)
  • Sharp conceptual and visual communication skills–you can take an idea or a design that’s given to you and bring it to life!
  • Strong organizational skills–you know how to effectively organize your files and work space so that others can access to your files readily. You develop practices to keep them organized in shared drives.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively and sharing ideas–you are excited to give and take feedback from our highly skilled team.
  • Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment–we’re a small team, so you might occasionally need to step outside of your comfort zone to help with a project, whether that’s a simple administrative task or a big strategic initiative! No task is too big or too small for you.
  • Open to occasional weekend work or off-site visits for events–our designers don’t usually attend events, but you would be open to occasionally attending one of our larger events onsite.

Responsibilities:

  • Render high-quality 3D models of complex event environments (ballrooms, tents, etc.)
  • Design/render interior decor for weddings and private events (e.g., custom bars, seating, dance floors, signage, custom structures, branded decor, etc.)
  • Collaborate with client-facing, build/install, and floral teams to create cohesive concepts and renderings that align with client specifications
  • Work with internal teams to bring big-picture event concepts to life
  • Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final deliverables (may occasionally participate in client design reviews)
  • Stay current on design and event trends to keep our work fresh and innovative
  • Occasionally assist on-site at events (preferred)

Bonus Experience (Not Required):

  • Background in set design, event design, architecture, or related
  • Floral design knowledge or passion for floral aesthetics
  • Photography experience

What We Offer:

  • Salary: $50,000 - 60,000/year, depending on experience and preferred schedule
  • Friday half days or off unless during busy event weeks
  • Flexibility based on event calendar
  • Paid Time Off
  • Discretionary performance bonuses
  • Creative, collaborative team environment
  • Opportunity to help design one-of-a-kind celebrations that make a lasting impact

How to Apply:

Please submit a resume and your portfolio to showcase your relevant experience! A cover letter is optional. We are excited to meet you!
