The Website Administrator is responsible for the management, maintenance and continuous improvement of Salina Public Schools' district websites and related digital platforms. This position ensures that all district and school websites are accurate, accessible, user-friendly, and aligned with district branding and communication goals.
The Website Administrator works under the direction of the Communications Director and collaborates closely with the Communications Specialist, district departments, technology staff, and building personnel to maintain accurate, effective, and user-centered digital communication systems.

Essential Functions:
  • Maintain and update district and school websites to ensure functionality, accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with district standards and branding.
  • Manage website content and collaborate with departments and schools to ensure timely and effective digital communication.
  • Troubleshoot website and platform issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Oversee and support district website editors through training, guidance, and technical assistance.
  • Monitor and maintain data integrations between student information systems, staff databases, communication platforms, and notification systems.
  • Manipulate and manage data in multiple formats (.xlsx, .csv, .txt) to support imports, exports, synchronization, and reporting across systems.
  • Manage related digital platforms, including Finalsite, Jotforms, SharePortal, and rapid communication systems.
  • Track and analyze website performance and analytics to guide improvements in usability, engagement, and SEO.
  • Maintain internal staff resources and training materials related to websites, databases, and digital communication systems.
  • Research and implement best practices in web design, accessibility, emerging technologies, AI tools, and digital communications.
  • Support district communication efforts through website updates, social media integration, and basic photography/videography.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong technical knowledge of web technologies, CMS platforms (Finalsite preferred), and digital communication tools.
  • Knowledge of SEO, web analytics, accessibility standards, and system integrations.
  • Ability to manage and manipulate data across multiple platforms and file formats.
  • Understanding of social media, AI tools, and digital communication strategies.
