Position Overview:We are seeking a creative, analytical, and highly motivated Marketing Specialist to join ourย
growing cannabis team. This role will be responsible for executing and optimizingย
marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, SEO growth, andย
revenue across retail and wholesale channels.
The ideal candidate has experience in cannabis, alcohol, or consumer packaged goodsย
(CPG), understands digital trends and compliance considerations within regulatedย
industries, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position reportsย
directly to the Director of Wholesale & Marketing and plays a key role in shaping theย
brandโs digital presence, community engagement, and overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:Digital Marketing, SEO & Campaign Management
- ย Assist in planning, executing, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns acrossย email, social media, sales, and web platformsย
- Support the development of integrated marketing strategies for product launches,ย promotions, and brand initiativesย
- ย Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies to maximize engagement,ย traffic, and ROIย
- Implement and manage SEO strategies including keyword research, on-pageย optimization, blog optimization, metadata updates, and content structuring toย improve organic search visibilityย
- Monitor website performance and search rankings using analytics and SEO tools toย identify growth opportunitiesย
Social Media Management & Content Creation
- Manage and maintain social media channels including Instagram, Facebook,ย LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, and emerging platformsย
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content aligned with brand voice andย compliance standardsย
- Engage directly with online communities by responding to comments, DMs,ย reviews, and customer inquiries in a timely and professional mannerย
- Build relationships with consumers, creators, influencers, and local cannabisย communities to strengthen brand loyalty and awarenessย
- Track trends, audience insights, and competitor activity to support growthย opportunities and cultural relevanceย
- Develop compelling digital content including graphics, photography, short-formย video, blogs, email copy, SEO-driven web content, and promotional materialsย
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to produce high-qualityย branded assetsย
- Maintain consistent visual identity and messaging across all platforms
Email Marketing & CRM
- Build and manage email marketing campaigns and customer communication flows
- Segment audiences and maintain customer databases for targeted outreachย
- Analyze campaign metrics including open rates, click-through rates, conversions,ย and customer engagement trendsย
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and report on website traffic, SEO performance, social engagement,ย campaign performance, and digital KPIsย
- Use analytics tools to identify trends and provide actionable recommendationsย
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for leadership
Event & Community Coordination
- Support community outreach initiatives, events, pop-ups, and brand activationsย
- Represent the brand professionally at industry events, networking opportunities,ย and community engagements as neededย
- Assist in developing partnerships that strengthen local market presence andย consumer connection
Qualifications- Bachelorโs degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related fieldย
- 1โ3 years of digital marketing experience in cannabis, alcohol, CPG, or relatedย industriesย
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, SEO, email marketing, communityย management, and digital advertisingย
- Experience with marketing and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics,ย
- Google Search Console, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, SEMrush, Ahrefs,ย or similar toolsย
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skillsย
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesย
- Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite preferredย
Requirements- Must be able to work on-site full-timeย
- Must be legally eligible to work in the cannabis industry where applicableย
- Valid driverโs license, reliable personal vehicle, and ability to travel locally asย needed for events, retail visits, vendor meetings, and brand activationsย
- Flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend events
