Web Portal Architect/Lead

Location: - Chicago, IL

Duration: - 12+ months

Description/Responsibilities:

We have an urgent need for a Web Architect/Lead. We are looking for someone that has built web portals in the past, but has also led successful implementations with developers building it with him in the lead. We are looking for someone at a Sr. level that can also architect and review solutions to ensure they are in best practice.

Web portal architect/lead participates and oversees the delivery and maintenance of websites, web-based applications, marketing and B2B solutions. This position requires experience with website design and delivery, E-Commerce, and Marketing websites. The candidate should have experience leading a team of internal and external resources to implement solutions.

Responsibilities:

Manage the design, construction and maintenance of websites and web-based applications

Manages a team of internal and external vendor resources to achieve objectives

Acts as PM for maintenance of websites and related applications

Experience in current development tools and methodologies and comfortable setting the direction for our development teams

Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS)

Has experience with B2B E-Commerce, digital marketing and building a brand

Drives system architecture and designs system integrations via services and SOA

Analyze enterprise business drivers to determine corresponding change requirements

Design and lead the implementation of enterprise solution architecture (ESA) based on enterprise business requirements and IT strategies

Develop a road map of the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio from current to future state

Manages the documentation of all solutions, architecture design and analysis work

Works closely with the program management office (PMO) to ensure alignment of plans and project management methodologies

Position Requirements/Technical Skills:

Experience Required:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field preferred

6 to 10 years of experience in a professional capacity as described above

Experience in the following technologies preferred:

Microsoft .NET

C#, MVC 3 or 4, ASP.NET

Entity Framework, Hibernate, or other Object/Relational Mapping

SQL Server, Oracle or other relational databases

jQuery, Knockout.js, Backbone.js, JavaScript ,HTML, CSS
