Join a firm that is re-architecting their technology operating model to support their future state business strategy. The.NET UI Consultant will work closely with the application development team in the development of a user interface and middle-tier components for the core platform used to manage our investments. The candidate must have good programming skills generally and extensive knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, Javascript and user interface design. Experience with Telerik component frameworks is highly preferred. Knowledge of SQL and database modeling concepts is preferred, but not required.

Summary Of Responsibilities:

  • Translate application storyboards and use cases into application functionality
  • Develop, integrate, test and implement application functionality
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
  • Assist IT team in resolving unexpected issues and concerns
  • Assist in maintaining code quality, unit testing, and source control organization

Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Application development experience
  • Knowledge of the finance industry is required
  • Knowledge of and working experience with.Net languages, specifically C# with ASP.NET web development experience
  • Telerik UI component experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with REST services, SOAP, WCF and WF preferred
  • Knowledge of Relational database programming and design experience is a plus (SQL Server)
  • Experience with third part components, and Reporting Services
  • Familiarity with object-oriented concepts, N-Tier Architecture and design patterns
  • Ability to handle multiple project assignments
  • Ability to work with a variety of co-workers in a team environment
