Duties / Responsibilities:
Troy Web Consulting is offering an internship for an energetic, personable software developer who seeks to expand his/her skills and gain valuable experience in the "trenches" or real world projects. Troy Web Consulting works with a variety of clients in a fast-paced, engaging work environment in downtown Troy, NY. This internship contains a mix of responsibilities and duties including:
  • Work with our Front-End & Application Architects and clients to design and implement front end websites and web user interfaces
  • Coordinate, design and build "front end" functionality with backend systems and services that include AJAX, REST, SOAP and other APIs
  • Communicate with team members and clients to see a project through from inception, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance phases
  • "First Responder" activities with Troy Web Consulting team & clients to handle situational issues.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Strong knowledge of web page development, CSS, HTML, JavaScript
  • Knowledge of basic data structures and web programming language(s)
  • Good communication skills and a desire to understand the process of software development projects

Optional:
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, jQuery
  • Experience with Front-End UI Frameworks Foundation & Twitter Bootstrap
  • Experience with server-side scripting languages such as PHP or ColdFusion (CFML)
