What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Web Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Web Developer, you need strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and an understanding of web frameworks, often supported by a degree in computer science or relevant certifications. Familiarity with development tools like Git, content management systems, and frameworks such as React or Angular is typically required. These skills and qualifications are crucial to building functional, user-friendly websites and adapting to evolving technology and client needs.

What does a web developer do?

A web developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining websites and web applications. They use programming languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and often back-end technologies such as PHP, Ruby, or Python to create functional and visually appealing online experiences. Web developers may specialize in front-end (user interface), back-end (server-side logic), or full-stack development (both front-end and back-end). Their work involves collaborating with designers, content creators, and other developers to ensure websites are user-friendly, secure, and optimized for performance.
