We're looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Healthcare Transportation Coordinator to join our team in Lakewood, NJ and help keep our residents moving safely, efficiently, and on time.

What You'll Do
  • Coordinate and schedule transportation for resident appointments, hospital visits, dialysis, admissions, discharges, and other approved trips
  • Review transportation requests to ensure all required details are complete and accurate
  • Manage daily and weekly driver schedules while adjusting for last-minute changes
  • Coordinate with outside transportation vendors regarding availability, pickups, cancellations, and schedule updates
  • Determine whether trips should be assigned internally or outsourced based on timing, transport level, and operational needs
  • Track completed, canceled, rescheduled, and missed transports
  • Review trip sheets, transportation logs, and vendor invoices for accuracy
  • Assist with transportation billing review and documentation follow-up
  • Identify billing discrepancies, duplicate charges, and questionable invoices before approval
  • Maintain organized transportation records and prepare reports as needed
  • Help monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary expenses
  • Troubleshoot transportation issues including delays, missed pickups, and scheduling conflicts
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in transportation scheduling, dispatching, healthcare coordination, skilled nursing, or medical transportation required
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience reviewing invoices, logs, billing records, or transportation documentation preferred
  • Comfortable handling schedule changes and urgent requests professionally and efficiently
