Wave Solder Machine Operator
Job Purpose: Set up, program, and operateWaveSolder/ SelectiveSolderproduction machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Assemble Electronic Circuit Boards per specifications and ensure quality is a priority
Nature of Duties:

  • Hand soldering of electronic components on circuit boards for initial build, touch up, and/or repair
  • Set up Wave Solder Machines per profiles and procedures
  • Reads and interprets Visual Aids
  • Utilize quality practices and procedures to assure that assemblies are accurately and effectively manufactured
  • Monitor and inspect product for quality issues. Responsible for the quality and accuracy of own work.
  • Perform Operator Maintenance for applicable Manufacturing equipment and update records as required.
  • Comply with hazardous chemical disposal and safe handling
  • Repair/Rework defects after wave
  • May work in all areas of Production
  • Maintains a clean, neat and orderly area.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. and stand for regular 8 hours work shift
  • Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Familiarity with computers
  • Knowledge of Production machinery preferably (WaveSolder, SelectiveSolder, and Aqueous Cleaning)
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to problem solve
  • Good communication skills
  • Position includes walking, bending, standing, some sitting and some lifting
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English. Ability to read and understand instructions in English
  • Must have component identification knowledge
  • Must have soldering experience. Solder certifications preferred.
  • High School diploma and or GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be available for OT and weekend work as required in addition to minimum 40 hrs./wk.
