Flooring Installation Technician (Temporary โ€“ 6 Month Project)

Location: Sherrodsville, OH, 44675

Job Type: Temporary (6-Month Project)

Schedule: Full-Time

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are hiring 2โ€“3 Flooring Installation Technicians to support a six-month plus facility renovation project. This is a temporary, full-time opportunity for individuals with hands-on flooring installation experience who are dependable, detail-oriented, and take pride in producing quality work.

The ideal candidate will have experience with carpet removal, floor preparation, waterproof vinyl flooring installation, and finish carpentry, including baseboard installation.

Responsibilities
  • Remove existing carpet and flooring materials.
  • Prepare subfloors, including leveling and surface preparation.
  • Measure, cut, glue, and install waterproof vinyl plank flooring.
  • Install baseboards and finish trim.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the project team to complete the flooring installation on schedule.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience installing flooring is required.
  • Experience with:
    • Carpet removal
    • Floor leveling and subfloor preparation
    • Cutting, gluing, and installing waterproof vinyl flooring
    • Baseboard installation
  • Ability to read a tape measure and accurately measure and cut materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in an active renovation environment.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools throughout the workday.
