Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a per diem Maintenance Technician to join our team.  This position is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance, minor equipment repairs, plumbing repairs and Boiler Water Tender duties as needed. 

Part time position, Mon-Thursday, 3pm-9pm.

Responsibilities

Performs inspections and service as scheduled using approved methods.Makes regular and frequent maintenance rounds will be made throughout the facility both internally and externally Promptly responds to call of assistance from staff, patients and/or visitors.Documents completed work

Immediately reports needed repairs to department, and faulty equipment is secured according to department policy and procedures.

Conducts safety inspections as scheduled.Monitors boiler operations and notifies proper person of suspected problem.

Plows and shovels snow as needed to maintain a safe condition.Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

*High School Diploma/GED preferred

Experience

* 6 yrs Maintenance/Engineer experience preferred

*3yrs Water Tender experience preferred

Certifications/Licensures

*State Drivers license in which facility is located required

* Water Tenders license required to obtain within six months of employment
