Water jet Operator – IGS Aerospace and Defense - Afternoon Shift

Location: 300 Country Club Road, Meadowlands, PA 15347 (IGS Aerospace and Defense Division)

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM (No Rotating Shifts!)

Afternoon shift employees receive a $5.00 per hour shift differential, which is already included in the posted wage range.

Training for the position will be on daylight shift.

About the Role

We are seeking a Water Jet Operator to join our team. This mid-level position is perfect for candidates with hands-on experience who enjoy working in a dynamic, manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our parts meet strict quality standards. The primary purpose of this position is to operate the Water Jet machinery and ensure customer parts are produced per order specification.

What You’ll Do

  • Receive blueprints, files, sample parts, and documents to determine materials and set up requirements.
  • Load the machine and operate according to order specifications.
  • Cut material for parts as needed.
  • Inspect parts as well as raw materials before, during, and after production runs.
  • Operate forklift.
  • Operate overhead crane as needed.
  • Clean and maintain the Water Jet.
  • Work with a variety of calipers or micrometers.
  • Work with a variety of tools and machinery in a safe capacity.

Requirements

  • Required:
    • High school diploma/GED and/or relevant work experience.
    • Read and understand blueprints.
    • Become Tow Motor certified though IGS – must hold a valid driver’s license.
    • One year of Machining Experience
    • Strong attention to detail and mechanical/technical aptitude.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work safely with tools and equipment.
    • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
    • Must be 18 years of age or older
