Finishing Operator

Worcester, MA

1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Contract-to-Hire 

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Finishing Operator for Abrasives division. In this role, you’ll set up and operate a variety of finishing and grinding machines, ensuring precision and quality from initial shaping through final finishing. This position offers the opportunity for temp-to-perm conversion for the right candidate.

What You’ll Do
  • Operate CNC equipment, precision tools, and finishing machines.

  • Perform grinding, shaping, sandblasting, balancing, cutting, and water jet operations.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, ensuring accuracy in dimensions and specifications.

  • Use trade math to compute and verify dimensions during planning and final checks.

  • Maintain equipment and adhere to safety/quality standards.

What We’re Looking For
  • Previous machining or finishing experience (highly preferred).

  • Knowledge of CNC machines and precision measuring instruments.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Amni, V-sider, shape wheel chuck, sandblaster, speed tester, laser scribe, cut-saw, water jet, and balancer.

  • Strong blueprint reading and math skills.

  • Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work independently.
