Alamo Water Softeners has been serving Texas families for decades by providing high-quality water treatment solutions and exceptional customer service. We're looking for a motivated Field Technician Helper to join our installation and service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning a skilled trade, and building a long-term career with a growing company.

What You'll Do
As a Field Technician Helper, you'll work alongside experienced technicians assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential water treatment equipment.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist with installing water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, filtration systems, and water heaters.
  • Dig trenches by hand or with approved equipment to prepare for underground water line installations and other plumbing-related work.
  • Assist with running underground water lines and restoring work areas upon completion.
  • Help load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Prepare job sites and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs under the guidance of a lead technician.
  • Perform basic plumbing-related tasks while learning industry best practices.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with customers.
  • Complete required paperwork and job documentation.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
What We're Looking For
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including digging trenches, lifting up to 75 pounds, working in confined spaces, and standing, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
  • Mechanical aptitude or construction/plumbing experience is a plus but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Plumbing, HVAC, construction, or mechanical experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience using basic hand tools.
