Water Treatment Engineering Lead
Vancouver, BC; Toronto, ON; Whitehorse, YT; Calgary, AB; Saskatoon, SK; Remote - Regular-Full Time
 
As a Water Treatment Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership across a range of water treatment, mine water, remediation, and industrial infrastructure projects, supporting work from feasibility studies through detailed design, construction, and commissioning.
About the Role
  • Leading technology selection and water management trade off studies, with the collaborative support of a wide range of experts within Ensero
  • Leading multi-discipline engineering design activities, and leading technical deliverables generation for area of expertise, for feasibility and detailed design
  • Reviewing and approving engineering deliverables, calculations, specifications, and reports.
  • Supporting equipment selection, procurement activities, and vendor reviews with a broad understanding of water treatment solutions and water management strategies
  • Participating in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP workshops, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Supporting project planning, proposals, budgeting, and client engagement.
  • Providing engineering support during procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
  • Engaging with clients effectively with strong communications skills to support them to understand to achieve project goals
  • Engaging with project controls to support schedule, procurement and construction planning would be an asset
  • Provide technical input to projects within your area(s) of expertise.
  • Interface with other technical experts to achieve multidisciplinary project goals.
  • Mentor and provide technical training to junior and intermediate team members.
  • All other duties as required.
About You
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Civil or Process Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering designation required. 
  • 10+ years of previous engineering experience in industrial water treatment projects, ideally in mining.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members as well as lead multi-disciplinary projects
  • Experience working in environmental consulting or project consulting setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business software
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
$130,000 - $170,000 a year
