Occupational Therapist Wanted: Your Skills Belong in Northern Nevada

Full-Time | Washoe County School District | Reno, NV

What if your next OT role didn’t just help students—but also gave you room to grow, explore, and feel genuinely supported?

At Comprehensive Therapy Consultants, we’re inviting you to do meaningful work in a place that’s anything but ordinary: Washoe County Schools, located in the high desert oasis of Reno, Nevada. This isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to bring healing and function to students who need your expertise, all while living in a city where mountain peaks meet big-sky ambition.

✨ Why Washoe County?

Let’s be honest—Reno has shed its “mini Vegas” reputation and grown into one of the most exciting, affordable cities in the West. Nestled near Lake Tahoe, Reno offers paddleboarding at sunrise, art festivals at sunset, and some of the best skiing and hiking trails in the country. Plus, there’s no state income tax, a thriving food scene, and an unbeatable blend of nature and culture.

Washoe County School District reflects that same energy—diverse, inclusive, and deeply committed to student-centered services. As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll work in schools that truly value your role, with administrators who respect your clinical judgment and a team of colleagues who support one another like family.

About the Job:

You’ll serve students across the K–12 range with a variety of needs—from fine motor challenges and sensory integration to life skills and self-regulation. You’ll collaborate with teachers, parents, and other therapists to develop customized treatment plans that help each child thrive. This is a school-based, in-person position where your creativity, compassion, and OT know-how will shine every day.

Job Requirements:

  •  A passion for helping students gain independence, confidence, and access
  • Active Nevada Occupational Therapy license, or the ability to obtain one
  •  Experience in a pediatric or school-based setting preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
  •  Ability to develop and implement IEP goals in partnership with educators

Company Benefits:

  • Competitive pay tailored to your experience
  • Paid Time Off
  • License & CEU reimbursement
  •  401K with company match
  • 12-month payroll option
  • $500 referral bonus for each full-time, school-based therapist you refer and we hire
  •  Nationwide Employee Discount Plan for theme parks, events, travel, and more

Apply now to bring your talents to Washoe County and help students succeed—one skill at a time.
