Job description

Overview

Our Pet Supplies Plus distribution center (Pet Depot) in Seymour, IN offers warehouse positions involving the logistics, handling and distribution of all of our pet-friendly merchandise within our store supply chain.

Responsibilities/Qualifications

Warehouse Team Member key responsibilities include:

  • Accurately picking customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
  • Assembling various types of merchandise for shipment.
  • Carrying or transporting orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment.
  • Repacking and weighing any orders that require such handling when necessary, and reporting quality variances.
  • Ensuring that standards for quality, customer services, health, and safety are met.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Assisting in conducting physical inventories as required.
  • Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.

Warehouse Team Member requirements include:

  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Experience in warehouse picking, shipping, quality auditing preferred.
  • Ability to stand or walk up to 95% of the time.
  • Ability to left heavy products (40-65 lbs.) 50% of the time, and moderate-weight products (20-40 lbs.) 65% of the time.
  • Ability to push/pull 40% of the time.
  • Ability to bend at the waist, twist and stoop 40% of the time.
  • Fine motor skills in use 10-15% of the time.
