Job description

Job Summary:

Responsible for performing various functions in the dry and temperature-regulated area of the warehouse. This includes receiving inbound deliveries, replenishing, selecting products for transfer trucks, and all other related dock work. This position assists in whichever warehouse-related functions take priority each day.

Perform tasks to include utilizing RF Warehouse Computer System to properly scan and put away incoming merchandise. Receiving merchandise, selecting transfer trucks, and keeping the dock clean are all major responsibilities of the position.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Navigate the RF-based computer system to receive all incoming merchandise on the dry and cooler docks. This involves identifying each pallet with a corresponding pallet ID tag and scanning that bar code into the system.
  • Working with outside carriers making deliveries to ensure all product is received into the warehouse accurately.
  • Select for Transfer Truck that dispatches. This will either be the dry, cooler, or frozen transfer items.
  • Work as a reach operator to assist in put-aways and product replenishment as needed.
  • Clean dry and cooler dock as needed
  • Select customer orders as needed/required by the floor supervisor
  • Perform all other warehouse-related functions as deemed by the warehouse supervisor or manager
  • Safely operate all machinery.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Ability to repeatedly lift and/or push or pull/reach above shoulder height heavy objects weighing up to sixty (60) pounds.
  1. Ability to read, write, and count to correctly fill and receive orders and conduct accurate inventory.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Two years experience operating an electric forklift, pallet jack, and reach machine. Must be able to operate a stand-up forklift reach machine.
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.

Working Conditions:

  1. Works in a variety of locations throughout the warehouse. Position may require continuous standing, lifting, bending, and moving of heavy materials weighing up to 60 pounds.
  1. Regularly required to work various hours in cooler and freezer with temperatures ranging from 35 degrees to minus 10 degrees.
