Job Description

This role focuses on accurately packing customer orders in a busy warehouse environment. You verify picked items, scan and label boxes, and prepare shipments for pickup, handling products that range from 3 to 50 pounds. You support efficient order fulfillment by using RF scan guns for picking, packing, and putaways while maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Pack customer orders into boxes after items have been picked, ensuring each order is complete and accurate.
  • Verify that the items picked match the order details before packing and shipping.
  • Use an RF scanner to scan boxes and items as part of the order picking, packing, and putaway process.
  • Print shipping labels and affix them correctly to each box.
  • Prepare packed orders for pickup and shipment according to established procedures.
  • Handle products weighing between 3 and 50 pounds safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the warehouse.
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse workers, office staff, and forklift operators to support smooth operations.
  • Follow all warehouse policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Adapt to increased workload and pace during peak periods, particularly in August and September.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience using an RF scan gun for order picking, packing, and putaways.
  • At least 1 year of experience with heavy lifting, including handling items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to accurately verify orders and pay close attention to detail.
  • Comfort working in a warehouse environment with a mix of tools and tool parts.
  • Capability to follow instructions, processes, and safety procedures consistently.
  • Reliability in working a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday on a first shift.
