Warehouse Operations Manager

Tidewater Staffing is seeking an experienced and organized Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, team performance, inventory flow, and overall efficiency within a fast paced industrial environment. This role is responsible for leading warehouse personnel, maintaining safety and productivity standards, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and helping ensure customer and operational expectations are met consistently.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail oriented, solutions focused, and comfortable managing both people and processes while maintaining a strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling
• Supervise warehouse staff, assign duties, monitor performance, and support team development
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and audits
• Ensure warehouse operations comply with company safety policies and procedures
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with drivers, vendors, and internal departments
• Monitor workflow efficiency and identify opportunities for operational improvement
• Assist with scheduling, staffing needs, and workload distribution
• Maintain clean and organized warehouse conditions
• Address operational issues, delays, or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure equipment is used properly and report maintenance needs when necessary
• Support onboarding and training of warehouse personnel
• Prepare reports related to warehouse productivity, inventory, and operations as needed

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse management or operations leadership experience required
• Strong understanding of warehouse procedures, logistics, and inventory management
• Experience supervising teams in industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environments preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety standards
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast moving environment
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Proficient with computer systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required
