Job description

Description

 Jimmy's Gourmet Bakery is looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to help ensure the smooth movement of products between our facilities, third-party warehouses (3PL), and customers. In this role, you'll work closely with our Warehouse, Customer Service, Inventory Control, and Transportation teams to coordinate shipments, resolve logistics issues, and keep orders moving efficiently. 

Requirements

  • Enter outbound purchase orders into Microsoft Dynamics GP for transfers to 3PL facilities. 
  • Monitor in-transit inventory and ensure timely product movement. 
  • Confirm deliveries using Bills of Lading (BOL) and communicate updates to Inventory Control and Order Processing. 
  • Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies with 3PL providers. 
  • Manage freight appointments through the Transwide portal. 
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules with carriers and warehouses. 
  • Review shipping documentation for accuracy. 
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve shipping issues. 
  • Maintain excellent communication with internal departments and external partners. 
  • Assist with additional logistics and transportation projects as needed.

 Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or 3-5 years of logistics coordination experience
  • Experience coordinating transportation, freight, or warehouse logistics. 
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Dynamics GP experience is highly preferred. 
  • Experience with Transwide is a plus. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
