Position Summary
The Warehouse Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely flow of materials, products, and supplies through the warehouse. This role coordinates with purchasing, operations, suppliers, and logistics teams to track orders, resolve delays, and maintain accurate inventory levels. The expeditor acts as a key link between the warehouse and other departments to support smooth production and shipping schedules.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager - Concentrator, the Warehouse Expeditor will be responsible for the following:
  • Monitor incoming shipments and open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to expedite urgent or delayed materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipment status, delivery dates, and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with receiving and inventory control teams to prioritize and process incoming materials.
  • Investigate and resolve issues such as shortages, damaged goods, or incorrect shipments.
  • Update inventory systems with tracking information and order status changes.
  • Generate daily, weekly, or monthly expediting and inventory reports.
  • Support cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.
  • Collaborate with production or fulfillment teams to meet schedule demands.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and propose improvements to enhance material flow.
  • Other material and warehouse duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and warehouse operations.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Exposure to the elements (rain, snow, cold, heat, etc) is to be expected.
Salary Range:
  • $28.00 - $31.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
