Department: Logistics Department - Hanua Warehouse             

Job Status: Full Time  / Part-time                                

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt                                                              

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Work Schedule: As Per Employee Handbook

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Warehouse Clerk will be responsible for assisting in the efficient operation and management of the warehouse. This includes receiving, off-loading and loading products into containers, replenishing pick bins for selectors, selecting product if necessary, preparing products and supplies for delivery to the appropriate locations. The Warehouse Clerk will also be responsible for keeping accurate records and tracking inventory in our warehouse computer system.

DUTIES: Include the following (but are not limited - other duties may be assigned)

Essential Functions:

        Receive products and supplies, verifies the quantity and quality against purchase orders

        Enter and update inventory levels in the system

        Prepare orders and ensure they are complete, accurate, and ready for delivery

        Load and off load deliveries as needed

        Work with vendors for shipments going to the neighbor island, receiving, segregating by store, condensing pallets and loading in a timely manner to make the neighbor island barge schedule

        Assist in replenishing stock in the pick warehouse before selection occurs

        Organizing and keeping the warehouse in order

        Maintain a clean and safe working environment

        Follow all safety procedures and regulations

 

Other Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.
  • Maintains good communication with Warehouse Manager, fellow Logistics personnel, and Suppliers.
  • Understands and abides by all Company policies and procedures.
  • Other task as assigned by the Import Warehouse Manager.

Education & Experience:

        Strong work ethic supported by a pleasant and positive attitude.

  • Capable of operating Class I,II,III,IV &V ( stand up, sit down electric ,electric pallet jack, sit down internal combustion engine solid/cushion tire, Pneumatic tires ) lift trucks to assist in material handling responsibilities
  • Capable of learning and utilizing a hand-held unit and understanding the functions of the warehouse software to accurately maintain warehouse inventory accuracy

Work Environment:

        Fast-paced environment that may be demanding and/or stressful

  • Able to work in ambient temperature of the warehouse, maybe exposed to working in a dry, chill or frozen container held on our warehouse docks.
  • Noise level is moderate, susceptible to frequent lift truck horns , lifting and removal of dock leveler being dropped onto containers.
