Job Summary: Operator 1, Warehouse Operations - Four Oaks, NC
About the Role
Join our dynamic warehouse team as an Operator 1 and play a crucial part in efficient warehouse operations for a leading logistics facility in Four Oaks, NC. This is a night shift contractor role with competitive pay and opportunities to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. If you thrive on staying active, operating forklifts, and taking on new challenges, this position is for you.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts (minimum 6 months experience required) to move materials, parts, and finished goods throughout the warehouse
- Safely handle and transport items up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Utilize a variety of equipment, including conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks
- Adhere to SOPs, safety, and quality guidelines in all warehouse processes
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and materials as directed
- Perform routine warehouse tasks such as stocking, picking, packing, and staging
- Communicate effectively with team leads and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency
- Work Sunday through Thursday, 9pm - 5am, in an environment that may expose you to varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving mechanical parts
Required Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of forklift operation experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Basic math and computer skills
- Strong communication and comprehension skills in English
- Ability to work in a metrics-driven environment
- Willingness to wear steel toe shoes and comply with safety standards
- Capable of performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and repetitive hand motions
