Do you have a passion for sewing, garment construction, and keeping costumes performance-ready? Join our Wardrobe team as a Seasonal Seamstress, where your craftsmanship will directly support the look, comfort, and safety of our Model Citizens and performers. Your primary focus will be on sewing, alterations, and costume repair, with secondary responsibilities assisting with general wardrobe operations throughout the Resort.
What You'll Be Doing
Wardrobe team members support daily operations that keep our Model Citizens looking their best. You'll assist with maintaining our uniforms and costumes including costume characters, upholding costume inventory, and help maintain all areas of the Wardrobe/Costume department.
Primary Responsibilities - Seamstress & Costume Repair
  • Perform daily sewing tasks including alterations, hemming, stitching, patching, and structural repairs on uniforms, costumes, and character outfits
  • Complete detailed repairs for entertainment costumes and specialty garments
  • Maintain quality, fit, and performance standards of all costumes and accessories
  • Support new costume projects, prototypes, and refurbishments
  • Keep the sewing and repair workspace clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Prioritize repair requests based on production schedules and operational needs

Secondary Responsibilities - Wardrobe Operations Support
  • Assist with preparation and setup of Model Citizen uniforms at the start of daily operations
  • Issue uniforms, badges, accessories, and other wardrobe items when needed
  • Record garment issuance and returns accurately in wardrobe systems
  • Receive, sort, and track returned uniforms and costume pieces
  • Support storage and organization of new uniforms following proper protocols
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all Wardrobe & Costume areas

Laundry & Garment Care (As Needed)
  • Process laundry from across the Resort using washers, dryers, steamers, and irons
  • Ensure all garments are cleaned, racked, and ready for distribution
  • Follow safe handling procedures for all equipment and chemicals

Entertainment Support
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing entertainment costumes
  • Help transport costumes to designated performance areas before opening and after close

Safety & Efficiency
  • Follow all Resort safety policies and procedures
  • Follow all Resort safety policies and procedures
  • Use appropriate PPE when handling equipment, chemicals, or hazardous materials
  • Utilize space, tools, and systems efficiently to support seamless operations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs

What You Bring
  • Strong sewing and garment repair skills, including machine and hand-sewing
  • Education or Experience in Field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with costume or clothing construction preferred
  • Computer competency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A friendly, helpful, team-oriented attitude
