The technician assists with processing requisitions, tracking IT equipment, verifying deliveries, and maintaining inventory records. This role focuses on executing established procedures to support the acquisition, distribution, and accountability of college-owned technology resources. Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described. *Assist with processing IT procurement requests for hardware, software, mobile devices, and audiovisual equipment in accordance with established procedures *Enter and track requisitions in the NC eProcurement system and monitor status updates *Verify pricing, specifications, and order details before submission *Coordinate with vendors, Business Services, and ITS staff to support timely processing of orders *Receive, inspect, and verify IT shipments against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and completeness *Maintain accurate inventory records for IT equipment, including tagging, logging, and tracking assets *Assist with periodic inventory audits and reconciliation activities Assist with the organization and management of surplus or retired equipment in accordance with college procedures Provide basic technical support for mobile devices, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting (iOS and Android) Assist with preparing and deploying standard equipment for faculty and staff Maintain and organize documentation related to procurement, inventory, and asset management Support preparation of basic inventory and procurement reports as requested Assist in verifying invoices and documentation prior to payment processing Provide customer service support to ITS staff and end users regarding equipment requests and order status Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic knowledge of procurement procedures and inventory tracking Ability to follow established policies, procedures, and instructions Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation Basic technical knowledge of IT equipment, including computers and mobile devices Ability to communicate effectively with internal staff and vendors Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience in procurement and basic inventory tracking systems Experience in coordinating project-based efforts specific to IT related projects Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Preferences Associate Degree One (1) year of experience in inventory, logistics, IT support, or related field Experience with NC eProcurement system Experience supporting IT equipment distribution or asset management Experience working in a higher education environment As an equal employment opportunity employer, Wake Tech values our workforce.
